Yes. Threefold is intentionally designed for a wide range of hair textures, from straight and wavy to curly and coily. During booking, we'll help guide you toward styles that work beautifully with your hair.

No. Threefold styles are created using your natural hair only. No extensions. No synthetic hair.

Most signature styles are designed to be completed in 30 minutes or less. More intricate styles, longer or thicker hair, or hair that requires additional preparation may take longer.

Please arrive with your hair clean, completely dry, detangled and ready to braid. Starting with prepared hair helps us deliver the fast, polished Threefold experience.

We understand that hair happens. If additional detangling or preparation is needed before your service can begin, extra time and fees may apply.

Absolutely. Our signature menu is the starting point, and inspiration photos can help your stylist understand the finish you're looking for. Your artist can also recommend the closest Threefold style based on your hair texture, length and density.

Not always. Some styles require a minimum amount of length to braid securely and achieve the intended finish. If a selected style isn't the best fit, your Threefold Stylist can recommend an alternative.

Many styles can be customized into an updo or half-up, half-down finish. Additional time and fees may apply depending on the customization.

Threefold is currently preparing for launch in Chicago. Once appointments begin, advance booking will be recommended, with walk-in availability offered at select locations and pop-ups when capacity allows. Absolutely. As Threefold launches and our stylist roster grows, guests will have the opportunity to discover their favorite Threefold Stylists and book with them based on availability. Every stylist will be trained in the Threefold Method, so you can expect the same elevated, consistent experience no matter whose chair you're in.

We want every guest to feel welcome at Threefold. If you have unique hair needs, including hair loss, thinning, regrowth or wear a wig or hairpiece, contact us before booking for a private, judgment-free consultation so we can recommend the most comfortable and appropriate option.

Wear time varies based on the style, your hair texture, activity level, sleep routine and how you care for your braid. Your stylist can share simple tips to help keep your style looking its best.

Our approach prioritizes healthy hair and appropriate tension. Your stylist will work with your natural texture and hair condition to create a polished style without unnecessary pulling.

Ask about our refresh options for minor fixes, edges and finishing touches that can help extend the life of your style.

Because Threefold appointments are intentionally efficient, arriving on time helps us stay on schedule for every guest. Late arrivals may require a modified style or rescheduled appointment depending on availability.

Your booking confirmation will include the current cancellation and rescheduling policy. We recommend making changes as early as possible so the appointment can be offered to another guest.

Unless otherwise noted, gratuity is not included in the service price.
